The Life of Margaret Mullins

Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 16, 2005 at a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mrs. Margaret D. Mullins, age 85, the former Margaret Domingue, who died Friday, May 13, 2005 at 3:58 PM in Southwest Medical Center. Interment will be in the Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery. Mrs. Jodi Bollich, organist, will sing for the Funeral Mass, On Eagles Wings,?Shepherd Me, O God, Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art and J?irai la voir un jour. Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Castille of Baton Rouge and Lynda Savoy of Scott; one adopted daughter, Kim Blewett and her sons, Matthew and Mark Blewett of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Monty Broussard, Scott Broussard and his wife, Sheila, Randy Savoy, Drake Broussard and his wife, Teresa, Dana Landry and her husband, Dale, Shannon Parker and her husband, Wade, and Dionne Carelock and her husband, Trey; eleven great grandchildren, Casey, Hannah and Keli Lauren Broussard, Arica Prejean, Anthony Broussard, Jordan Savoy, Angelle Dixon, Shane Hymel, Delanie Landry, Shelby Parker and Herrin Carelock: five great great grandchildren, Kameron Prejean, Kennedy Brice Prejean, Ashton and Jaython Dixon and Sierra Hymel; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierre and Clemonce Melancon Domingue; four brothers, Desire, Placide, Phillip and Moise Domingue; three sisters, Mary Domingue, Celeste Richoux and Cecile Domingue. The family would like to acknowledge her grandchildren?s former spouses, Dora Broussard, Julie Tomlinson and Tammy Savoy, Mrs. Mullins was a native of Jeff Davis Parish and a resident of Vatican for over fifteen years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the J.C. Penney Company with thirty one years of service in the Children?s Department. Mrs. Mullins enjoyed her children; grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. They were her favorite past time and she was their hero. A rosary will be prayed Sunday at 5:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family request that visiting hours be observed Sunday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Pallbearers are Monty Broussard, Scott Broussard, Randy Savoy, Drake Broussard, Wade Parker, Anthony Broussard, Dale Landry and Trey Carelock. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Hymel, Herrin Carelock, Matthew and Mark Blewett, Kameron Prejean, Ashton Dixon and Jaython Dixon.
