The Life of Patricia Ann Hilbert

Patricia Ann "Patsy" (Miller) Hilbert, 77, of The Village of Shamrock (Mertztown), passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the loving wife of Frederick C. Hilbert, whom she married on November 29, 1958. Born in Shamrock, Longswamp Township, Patsy was a daughter of the late Wallace D. and Katie A. (Kline) Miller. She was employed as a Sewing Machine Operator by the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, for many years. After the closing of Royal Mfg., Patsy worked in the same capacity at Rockland Embroidery, Topton, until her retirement in 1997.

Patsy helped to organize the Topton Softball Summer League, which she served as a Coach from 1977 until 1989. She loved music and enjoyed playing the organ, singing and dancing. She also liked painting, making ceramics and playing on her computer. Patsy was also a terrific bowler.

In addition to her husband of 59 years and Caregiver, Fred, Patsy is survived by her three children, Tony R., husband of Ruth A. (Flicker) Hilbert, Kutztown, Cindy A. (Hilbert), wife of Richard E. Qillman, Jr., Fleetwood, and Mark A., husband of Tanya L. (Brensinger) Hilbert, Shamrock (Mertztown); four grandchildren, Richard J. Heffner, Jeremiah C. Heffner, Anthony T. Hilbert and Ethan P. Hilbert; and a great-granddaughter, Lillian F. Heffner. In addition to her parents,  Patricia was predeceased by her seven siblings, Mildred, Kenneth, Mark, Nancy, Gladys, Richard and Ronald.

A graveside service to celebrate Patsy's life will be held privately in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown, PA.
