The Life of Mary A. Kehm

Mary A. (Karom) Kehm, 96, of Alburtis, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 in her daughter Barbara's Kutztown residence. She was the widow of Benjamin F. Kehm, who died on November 10, 1982. Born in Northampton County, Mary was a daughter of the late Albert Karom, Sr., and Fannie (Pritko) Karom. She was Lutheran in faith. Mary was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing Co., Alburtis, for 30 years until her retirement in 1987. Most recently, Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, baking, and taking care of her home. She also loved nature and the outdoors. Mary was a very charitable woman, who always put her family's needs before her own.

Mary is survived by her children, Robert G., husband of Barbara (Berk) Tworkoski, Danville, PA, John F., husband of Alice Kehm, Lenhartsville, Kathleen M. (Kehm), widow of Richard A. Reppert, Florida, Brenda M. (Kehm), widow of Timothy Maruschak, Lady Lake, FL, and Barbara F. (Kehm), wife of Kerry P. Merkel, Kutztown; 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Mary is also survived by two brothers, Michael Karom, Alburtis, and Albert Karom, Jr., Orefield. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, sister, Anna (Karom) Hregician, and a brother, James Karom.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Pastor Adam P. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
