The Life of Randall F Schlenker

Randall F. Schlenker “Froggy,” 62, of Kutztown, died Saturday, October 7, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Forest C. and Betty S. (Rauenzahn) Schlenker. President of his senior class, Randy was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, class of 1973, where he was an accomplished wrestler. Randall was also a graduate of Penn State University, University Park, State College, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Randy was a co-founder of SOLO Laboratories, Inc., and later went on to pursue other ventures. He was a longtime member and past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 839, Kutztown. Randy's greatest joy was his children and grandchildren; he truly loved being a dad and pop-pop.

Randy is survived by his Children, Elana R. Schlenker, partner of T. Ross Mantle, Pittsburgh; and Jordan F. husband of Antonina (Zielinska) Schlenker, Brooklyn, NY. Other survivors include 2 Sisters, Barbara S. (Schlenker) wife of Barry C. Sokol, Kutztown; and Margaret S. (Schlenker) wife of Jack G. Schearer, Blandon; his 2 Grandchildren, Elias F. Schlenker and Evelyn M. Schlenker; and Aunts, June C. (Schlenker) widow of Louis R. DeTurk, Kutztown, and Doris (Baver) widow of Lee F. Schlenker, Macungie.

A graveside service to celebrate Randy's life will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM in Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, Fleetwood, with The Reverend David R. Strobel, officiating. It will be directly followed by a gathering at the Kutztown F.O.E., 209 West Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530.

The family requests contributions be made to the "Angel Fund" of Fraternal Order of Eagles, 209 West Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530, to assist with their needy family project. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
