The Life of Darryl Keith Bogert

Darryl Keith Bogert, 51, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 8, 1965 in Allentown, PA to the late Bernell Herbert & Beulah Mary Oswald Bogert. Darryl served his country by joining the army and serving for several years and being deployed to different areas of conflict. After serving his country, he worked for 30 years as a Diesel Mechanic, but his true love and one of his greatest accomplishment was working on his farm and bringing it up to a true working farm. Aside from these, he was proudest of his family and the family returned the love that he gave them.

Darryl leaves behind to mourn his passing, but celebrating the life and love that he had, is his Wife, Laura Stilwell Bogert; Sons, Noah & Aaron Bogert of Doe Valley, KY, David Cobbs of Hardinsburg; Daughters, Sylvia (Willie) Hiller of Murray, Meagan (Brandon) Smith, Alexis Stilwell & Damarus Stilwell, all of Hardinsburg; Brothers, Dennis R. (Dianna) Bogert of Fleetwood, PA, Michael B. Bogert of Longs, SC, Gary (Karen) Bogert of Fleetwood, PA and his Grandchildren, Raeleigh Jean Rose Smith and Rhett Michael Keith Smith, both of Hardinsburg and special friend and motorcycle riding buddy and adopted brother, Mark Willoughby.

Darryl has chosen to be buried in Durham Stilwell Cemetery, located on the farm that he loved.

Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Kutztown, is assisting the family with local service arrangements.
