The Life of Mary Yvonne Riche
Funeral
services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at an 11:00 AM Mass
of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette for
Yvonne Pierret Riche, age 79, who died at 6:05 PM on Wednesday, August
2, 2017 at the Heart Hospital in Lafayette.
Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Reverend Steve LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Allen Gerard (Jerry) Riche of Lafayette; her daughter, Rane Riche Sills and her husband Josh of Dry Creek, LA; one son, Allen Gerard Riche II of Youngsville; three grandchildren, Jeri Ann Sills Griffen and her husband Thad, Clayton Joseph Sills and Amber Rae Riche; two great grandchildren, Carter Ray Ezell and Trip Charles Griffen; and one sister, Melba Daigle of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. Pierret and the former Rose Whittington.
Mrs. Riche was born on March 4, 1938 and was a native and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1956 and was a lifelong member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Mrs. Riche enjoyed line dancing with her dance group named, "Sis'' Line Dancers". She enjoyed shopping but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and she delighted in her two great grandsons. Mrs. Riche will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Marc Riche, Seth Riche, Hagen Riche, Thad Griffen, Josh Sills, Clayton Sills and Bryan Riche.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Robert Daigle.
The family requests that visitation be observed at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A Rosary will be prayed Saturday at 9:15 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
