Karen was one of the bravest, most kind and hardest working individuals I've ever met. Despite her illness, she got up and faced each day undaunted. Her desire to live and do for her family was strong. She loved her children and grandchildren and was such a strong role model. I admired her courage and ask God to grant her eternal rest and peace in his kingdom. Sleep sweetly my friend.

Karen was such a nice person, she always took time to talk to you, she always took good care of her children. We have a lot of memories of our children's involvement with Karen's children with school activities and sports. Rest in peace Karen, our thoughts and prayers to Karen's family.

The kind, gentle spirit that was Karen will be greatly missed. Whether at KU (where we'd chat as I came into work and she was readying to leave) or at Boyers (when I happened to be there when she was working), she always had a ready smile, nice word, ready laugh. Even when confronted with her health issues, she put her family first and she aimed her work ethic at getting better and taking care of them, especially enjoying cooking! She will be remembered fondly . May that provide solace for her family in this time of sorrow
