The Life of LeRoy Joseph Darby Jr.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille''s
La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for LeRoy Joseph Darby Jr., age 70, who died suddenly at 12:00 AM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his residence in Lafayette.

Reverend Keith LaBove, Pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church will conduct the memorial services.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Charlene H. Darby; one daughter, Danielle Darby Solis and her husband Donovan; three sons, Troy Alan Darby, Shane Anthony Darby and Stonie Roger; six grandchildren, Drake Anthony Bourque, Malakai Donovan Solis, Maddox David Solis, Jaden Emily Darby, Jordyn Marie Darby and Joselyn Renee Darby; three brothers, Curley J. Darby, John W. Darby and Timothy C. Darby.

He was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy Joseph Darby Sr., and the former Emily Smith.

Mr. Darby was born on September 1, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a veteran of military service and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Mr. Darby was the owner and operator of Darby Grocery and Meat Market.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday from 8:30 AM until time of service.
