The Life of Ronald G Fox

Ronald G. “Ronnie” Fox, 78, formerly of Dryville, died peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017, in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where he was a resident for nine years.

Born in Rockland Township, Ronald was a son of the late Henry J., Sr., and Lillie M. (Rothermel) Fox. He formerly attended Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. Ronald worked as a butcher for the former Christman & Fox General Store, Dryville, for many years, and later worked at Dietrich's Meats, Krumsville. During his stay at the Lutheran Home, Ronald was very active in various social activities. He was the "mixer" in the cooking class and enjoyed making crafts. He colored many binders full of pictures and never missed the weekly BINGO playing and attended the men's breakfasts at the Front Porch Restaurant. Ronnie was also an avid sports fanatic who was especially fond of baseball and the Phillies, and kept a precise record of their scores as well as many other teams.

Ronald is survived by a Sister, Phyllis R. Fox, Dryville; Nieces and Nephews, June, Barbara, Marion, Linda, Patty, Jeff and Pam, and his family at the Lutheran Home, especially his favorite nurses, Lisa, Katie and Debbie. He was predeceased by his Parents, and Siblings, Henry Fox, Jr., Earl Fox, Anna (Fox) Christman, and Benjamin Fox.

Funeral services for Ronald will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, at 11:00 AM in Deibert Hall, located in the Breidegam Center on the campus at The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton, PA, with Reverend Dr. Colleen G. Kristula, Chaplain, officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Fleetwood (Dryville).  Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in Deibert Hall.

The family requests that contributions be made in Ronald's memory to Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church Building Fund, 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
