The Life of Pamela A Kerschner

Pamela A. “Pam” (Kline) Kerschner, 58, of New Tripoli, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 4, 2017 in her residence after a brief battle with ovarian cancer. She was the loving wife of David P. Kerschner, Sr., whom she married on July 14, 1979.

Born in Reading, Pam was the daughter of Anna Mae (Sittler) Kline, of Kutztown, and the late Robert K. Kline, who died on February 19, 2013. Pam was a 1977 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli. After high school, Pam was employed by Erie Insurance Co., working at their Kutztown location. She then was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother for many years. After her sons were grown, Pam most recently worked with several convenience stores and supermarkets in the merchandising field, working out of her home. Family always came first in Pam's life. She enjoyed going to the movies almost every Saturday night with her husband, David, and looked forward to her Sunday gatherings with her family in Kutztown, where many memories were made. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother, who hardly ever missed her sons high school and college football games and other activities. A tidy woman, Pam kept her home neat, spotless and well organized. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching her two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 37 years, David, Pam is survived by her two sons, David P., Jr., husband of Melissa S. (Gasser) Kerschner and Brent R. Kerschner; and her two grandchildren, Haley R. and Chase D. Kerschner, all of New Tripoli. She is also survived by a brother, Gary A., husband of Sue E. (Grim) Kline, Kutztown.

At Pam's request, there will be no viewing or services as she expressed her desire to leave her earthly life quietly and without ceremony or testament. Those wishing to acknowledge her are requested to do so through personal prayer and reflection or by doing a good deed for someone in need.

The family requests that contributions be made in Pam's memory to the Pamela A. Kerschner Memorial Fund c/o Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 292, Kutztown, PA 19530-0292, which will later be used to help fund her grandchildren's college education. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
