Funeral
Services will be held at 10:00 AM in La Chapelle de Martin &
Castille on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 for Joan Gertrude Domingue, age 83, who
died at 4:30 AM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes
Regional Medical Center.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Pastor Michael Greene of Church of Christ will conduct the funeral services.
Born in New Orleans on December 18, 1933 to John and Gertrude Obrien Kabel, Joan Gertrude Domingue was a resident of Carencro for 16 years. She worked in the medical industry as a nurse''s aide until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, going to movies and dining out, especially with her husband, Ernest. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will dearly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ernest Domingue of Carencro; daughter, Donna Pourcio of Maurice; two sons, Charles Butler, Sr. and his wife, Cathy of Breaux Bridge and Henry Raymond Butler, Jr. and his wife, Peggy of Cecilia; one sister, Linda Kabel of Bossier City; ten grandchildren, Michelle Savoie, Candy Mann, Crystal Carrell, Alicia Butler, Frank Pourcio, Charles Butler, Jr., Michael Butler, Glenn Pourcio, Jr., Toni Marie Duhon and Rebecca Pourcio and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Obrien Kabel, first husband, Henry Raymond Butler, Sr. and her second husband, Guy Rials, Sr.; one sister, Gerri San Angelo; one brother, Ronald Kabel; and one son-in-law, Glenn Pourcio.
Pallbearers for Joan Gertrude Domingue will be Charles Butler, Jr., Michael Butler, Luke Adaway, Dillion Savoie, Bryce Savoie and David Carrell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her two sons, Charles Butler, Sr. and Henry Raymond Butler, Jr.
Visitation will be observed at Martin & Castille - DOWNTOWN location on Monday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
