The Life of Laura Mae Menard
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 17,
2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Broussard for (Former
Constable) Laura Mae Menard, 87, who passed away on April 14, 2017.
Reverend William Ruskoski, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette.
Laura served as a Constable of Broussard for 24 years. She retired from the Lafayette Parish School Board as a Cafeteria Manager after 22 years. Her favorite time was spending Holiday''s with her family, playing Bingo and going to the Casino.
Laura, a resident of Broussard, was the daughter of the late Thelismar Lanclos and the former Philomine Cormier.
She is survived by her children, Anna Rose Culotta and husband, Joe, Barbara Broussard and husband, Walter, Eldine Walker and husband, Willie, Christine Romero and fiance, Herman Lagrange, Vickie Boutte and husband, Barry and Daniel Menard and wife, Aline; three sisters, Loretta Babineaux, Anna Broussard and Doris Booker, seventeen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Menard; two brothers, Hubert and Albert Lanclos; one sister, Annie Lanclos and one great grandson, Gabriel Jones.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Sunday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Culotta, Troy Broussard, Tyler Emert, Kalem Romero, Blaine Boutte and Daniel Menard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Culotta, Walter Broussard, Willie Walker, Herman Lagrange, Barry Boutte, Kyle Romero, Ryne Menard and PFC Jacob Boutte.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 111 North Washington Street, Broussard, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
