The Life of Eric D DeWolfe

Eric D. DeWolfe, 57, of Kutztown, died Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, after a short battle with cancer.  He was the husband of Deborah A. (Keim) DeWolfe, whom he married April 20, 1996.

Born in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Garnet) DeWolfe. Eric worked as a laborer with Advanced Carbon Technologies, Inc., Topton, for over ten years. He last worked Friday, April 14, 2017. Eric was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Kutztown, where he was a past vice president, and a member of Kutztown Fire Company, No.1, Kutztown. He enjoyed sporting clays and was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Eric is survived by Wife of 20 years, Deborah; 2 Brothers, Arden DeWolfe and his wife Pat, Tunkhannock, and Leonard DeWolfe and his wife Liz, Forkston, Wyoming County. In addition to his Parents, Eric was predeceased by a Sister Barbara (DeWolfe) Yurksza.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017, at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Arthur L. Hahn, officiating.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday morning, from 10:00 to 10:30 AM, both in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family requests contributions be made to Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604 or the Angel Fund, (a fund to help needy families in the area) c/o Fraternal Order of Eagles, 209 West Main St., Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.

Eric was a good friend of my son, Joe's in High school and therefore spent a lot of time at our house. Loved that boy, and am so sorry he was taken so young. Sympathy to all his family
