The Life of Michael Edward Provost
Funeral Services will be held at a 3:00PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017
in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Michael Edward Provost, 60,
who passed away on April 9, 2017 at his residence.
Rev. Bryce Sibley will conduct the funeral service.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Michael, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Howard Godfrey Provost and Barbara Genevieve Olivier Provost. He enjoyed history, and collected stamps, coins and antiques from all over the world. He had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time in his garden. One of his passions was his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Mr. Michael was a loving father and friend. His greatest and happiest moments in life were those spent with his daughter, Amanda.
He is survived by his children, Amanda Provost, Justin Provost; sister, Betty Lynn Stevens; and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Sally Fontenot, Arlene Beaver, and Ronald Provost.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 10:00AM until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Beaver, Bobby Fontenot, Chad Provost, Cedric Comeaux, Woody Comeaux and George Forrest.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Provost''s honor can be made to Miles Perret Cancer Services.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Lafayette General Medical Center and Heart of Hospice staffs for their care and compassion.
