The Life of Carol Lynn Deshotels
Funeral Services will be held at a 3:00PM on Monday, April 10, 2017 in
the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mrs. Carol Lynn Deshotels, 79,
who passed away on April 6, 2017 at her residence.
Father Ed Degeyter will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
"Ginger" as she was affectionately known, was resident of Lafayette and was the daughter of the late Leonard Coreil Sr. and the former Mary Fontenot. Ginger enjoyed and spent her life as a collector and dealer of antiques. She loved to garden and travel. She was a devout and passionate parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church. Above all, she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived her children Randal K. Deshotels, Lynnette Wyble and husband Brian, Christopher Deshotels, Mitchell Deshotels and wife Liliana; grandchildren, Rachael, Crystal, Ben, Nicole, Mary, Nicholas, Madeline, Natalee, Luke; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Williamson; and brother, Daniel Coreil.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Armand "A.C." Deshotels Jr; parents; daughter, Karen Deshotels; Leonard Coreil Jr.; and great grandson, Gage Foreman.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:45 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM on Monday afternoon in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Randy Deshotels, Brian Wyble, Chris Deshotels, Mitch Deshotels, Ben Deshotels and Nicholas Deshotels.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
