Darlene was my right hand "man" for the eight plus years I was the dept. chair. She kept the "hounds" at bay. She was my proof reader. She was my sounding board. She was my friend. Her devotion to our department was evident to all who worked with her. But her love for Irvin was indisputable and clearly evidenced when she would get up in the wee hours of the morning to be with him when he came home from work. We will miss her.
