The Life of Robert Joseph Cusimano Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for Robert J. Cusimano, Sr., 76 years old, who died on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in San Marcos, Texas.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Steve LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Reverend Aaron Melancon will be the Concelebrant.

Robert was born in New Orleans on May 10, 1940 to Peter and Margaret Cusimano. He served proudly in the United States Navy. He met his wife, Jacqueline Cusimano, in Metairie, LA and they married on June 23, 1972. Robert moved to Lafayette in August 1987 where he raised his family and worked for CONCO Distributors as the Director of Marketing. He participated in the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Lafayette, the Knights of Columbus Council 8901, and was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline Cusimano; his children, Tony Cusimano, Robert J. Cusimano, Jr., Sylvia Cusimano, Albert Cusimano, and John Cusimano; and his sister, Mary Lou Reed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his son Peter Cusimano.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:00 PM by Reverend Steve LeBlanc in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 103 Wonder World Drive, Suite 307, San Marcos, TX 78666.
