The Life of John Milton Egle Jr.
Funeral
services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at a 10:00 AM Mass of
Christian Burial in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in
Lafayette, for John M. Egle, Jr., age 28, who died on Tuesday, March 28,
2017 in St. Martin Parish.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Steve LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his mother Rose M. Dove, father John Egle, Sr. and wife Beverly; his sisters, Michelle Egle, Lauren Egle, and Ashley Knezek; his brother, Christopher Primeaux; his nieces, Cameron and Caroline Ward; and the love of his life, Jessica Marks.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Amiee Lynn Egle; his paternal grandparents, John "Jack" and Marion Egle; and his maternal grandparents, Billy Lee Dove, Sr., Earline Laura Jackson Dove.
John came into this world on February 24, 1989 in Houma, La. He moved to Lafayette at the age of 2, and has resided here ever since. He was a graduate of Ovey Comeaux High School and attended SLCC. He was currently the owner of Legacy Testing Services in Lafayette. John was passionate and a warrior at hockey. He traveled all around the U.S. and Canada for hockey and continued his love as an adult. John was also known for his humor, for it was like no other. If one was graced with his presence, they always left with a smile or laughter. He had a huge heart and was always helping others, especially as a mentor in Faith to those who needed it. He will be deeply missed and his life will forever be celebrated.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
