The Life of Betty Q Freeby

Betty Q. (Kramer) Freeby, 87, of Fleetwood, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, after a brief illness.

Born in Lyon Station, she was a daughter of the late Jonathan D. Kramer and Edith K. (Quillman) Kramer. Betty was of Lutheran faith. During her lifetime, Betty, worked as a waitress, a school bus driver, a seamstress at various mills, also made cookie cutters at the Foose Factory in Fleetwood. During the 60's she was the owner and operator of Betty's Restaurant, in Delaware, NJ. Betty loved spending time with family, playing the organ, crocheting, reading, doll collecting, and she enjoyed the times she participated in the Country Gate Players of Belvidere, NJ.

Betty is survived by Daughters, June Susan Freeby, Fleetwood and Gayle M. (Freeby) McLain, Columbia, NJ; and a Son, Warren H. Freeby, Jr., and wife Donna L. (Race) Freeby, Bangor, PA. Other survivors include 4 Sisters, 5 Brothers, 5 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and many extended family. Betty was predeceased by her Husband, Warren H. Freeby, Sr., in 1992, a Sister and 3 Brothers, a Son-in-law, and a Daughter, Elizabeth E. Freeby, who died July 24, 2016.

A memorial service will be held for Betty and her late daughter Liz on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis St., Topton. Inurnment of Betty and Liz will conclude services in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Family and friends may call on April 8, 2017, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
