George and Allida were always gracious hosts, inviting my family to enjoy their beautiful pool. My late husband enjoyed numerous lunches with George, and I enjoyed talking music and opera with him. He was always pleasant, engaging, and an interesting conversationalist. He will be missed by all who knew him. In recent years he was plagued by numerous illnesses, so now Rest in Peace, our friend.

Allida and family, George was such a gracious man. I was sad when he retired from KU and I told him so. BUT, I saw him occasionally at Headlines and he always remembered me. He will be missed!
