The Life of Barbara Bills
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 1:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Barbara Guidry Bills, 86, who passed away at Lafayette General Medical Center on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
Interment will be at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the service. Lectors will be Kristin LaGrange Higginbotham and Leslie Mann Sandlin.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty years, Terry V. Bills, Jr.; her five children, Linzee Evans LaGrange and husband Kenny, Daniel Bills, Jonathan Bills, Gordon Bills, and Marjorie Bills Cupit and husband Wayne; her grandchildren, Kristin LaGrange Higginbotham and husband Adam, and Ryan LaGrange; and her great grandson, Ayden Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Nella Guidry.
Barbara was a native and a resident of Lafayette most of her life, she was a member of the Junior League of Lafayette, and Les Deux Douzaines. Her joys were lunch on Saturday with her friends, her Bourre'' and Bridge games, reading, cross word puzzles, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She always had a smile on her face and was loved by everyone she met.
Pallbearers will be L.C. Cambre, Wayne Cupit, Ayden Fontenot, Dave Henard, Kenny LaGrange, Ryan LaGrange, and Nikita Williams.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed by Sr. Lucie Nordmann on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
