The Life of Clyde James Boudreaux

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Clyde James Boudreaux, 60, who died on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Alexa Boudreaux and Colette Boudreaux. Giftbearers will be Alexandra Allemond, Colin Allemond, Payton Miller, and Brooklyn Miller. Eulogist will be Robert Boudreaux.

Survivors include his children, Brandy Boudreaux and her husband Chad, Sherri Allemond, Lanie Miller and her husband Chris, and Jayme Miller and her husband Brian; his grandchildren, Alexa Boudreaux, Colette Boudreaux, Alexandra Allemond, Colin Allemond, Payton Miller, and Brooklyn Miller; his siblings Robert Boudreaux and his wife Liz, Lisa Boudreaux Folse, and Kevin Boudreaux and his wife Judi; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wagner Etienne Boudreaux and Theresa Landry Boudreaux.

A native of Lafayette, Mr. Boudreaux was a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School. He was devoted to his faith and regularly attended Mass at St. Leo the Great and St. Genevieve Catholic Church. Clyde served as a Fourth Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus. He was a hard working man, holding two jobs - Limousines Limited and Acadiana Park. He loved country music, cold beer, and steak night. Clyde was a devoted Saints fan. One could find him in his lucky Saints pants on game day, no matter how embarrassed this made his daughters as teenagers. He was a loving father and grandfather, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. He will be dearly missed.

Pallbearers will be Chad Boudreaux, Chris Miller, Brian Miller, Kent LaPorte, Bo Boudreaux, and Drake Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Colin Allemond and Butch Tastet.

A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in Martin & Castille’s DOWNTOWN Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s DOWNTOWN location on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service.

The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus and LGMC (10th floor nurses) for their outstanding care and support.
