The Life of Lena Mae Mahfouz
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers on Thursday, January 26, 2017 for Mrs. Lena Mae Mahfouz, 90, who passed away on January 24, 2017 at her residence.
Deacon Cody Miller will be conducting the funeral service.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mrs. Lena was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She sincerely enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She will forever be cherished in our hearts.
Lena, was a lifelong resident of Lafayette, and a recent resident of Deridder. She was the daughter of the late Eliza Guilbeau and the former Marie Delahoussaye.
She is survived by two sons, John D. Mahfouz and fiancee Danielle Walker and George J. Mahfouz and wife Mikki; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fuad "Bay" Mahfouz; her sons, Michael and James Mahfouz; her parents; four sisters, Jean Lasseigne, Locadie Rogers, Olita Porrier Nettie Broussard and three brothers, Lawless Guilbeau, Elie Guilbeau, and Emile Guilbeau.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home-Bertrand on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30pm on Thursday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be George Cormier, Michael Shane Mahfouz, William Harris, David Hiatt, Ronnie Naomi and Scott Broussard.
