The Life of Wilmer Roman Comeaux Jr.
Alvin - Wilmer Roman Comeaux Jr., age 67, was called home by his Loving Lord on the early morning hours of January 20, 2017, to be reunited with his family in Heaven. He was a devoted Catholic man, who loved his church and attended every Saturday afternoon Mass. He loved his spoiled rotten boxer''s, Clyde and Mia. Everyone who knew him, knew that they were his babies. He enjoyed golf, bowling, duck hunting, collecting coins and guns. He loved watching NFL and college football, he was a big LSU fan. He also enjoyed watching the Houston Rockets. He became known for having good luck at picking the winning slots, which held the final numbers to any game that was being played on TV. He was so good at it, that others would ask him to pick for them, or at least stop putting "Frans" name on the winning spaces!! Lol. Thanks to his good friend, David, he enjoyed watching Barrett Jackson auto auctions. They always admired the beautiful cars that were being shown. Wilmer was a dedicated, loyal man to Franks International Company, not many people can say that they have worked their entire life with only one company like him, who started at the age of 18 until his final breath. On another note, he was a very particular man, a perfect example of this would be that he only ate bologna sandwiches made by Tammy. He would rather remain hungry than settle for someone else to make him this sandwich. He had a very loving heart and a positive attitude. He cared for all of his friends at the Bar wash, Ace''s and The Garden, or "The Gardenia" as he referred to it. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Wilmer is preceded in death by his parents; Lillian and Wilmer Comeaux and his brother, Wayne Comeaux. He is survived by his two sisters; Juanita Russo and her husband, Earl, of Metairie, LA. And Cynthia Fleming Hightower of Shreveport, LA. He also leaves behind one niece and four nephews. And last but not least, his boxers, Clyde and Mia.A celebration of his life took place on Monday, January 23, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin, TX. The family received friends at 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass took place at 11:00 a.m.Wilmer will be laid to rest next to his parents and his brother at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at La Fayette Memorial Park located at 2111 W.
