The Life of Charles Robert White
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Charles Robert White, 79, who passed away on December 19, 2016.
Reverend Steve Horn, Pastor will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Charles graduated from Lafayette High School in 1955; USL in 1959 and from Loyola School of Pharmacy in 1963. He worked for and retired from K & B Drugstore after 36 years of service. He was an avid hunter and bass fisherman who spent many happy hours in the woods and on the water. He also enjoyed working in the yard and gardening.
Mr. White, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Atholl White and the former Billie Prather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Billie Morgan White; one son, Charles "Chuck" Robert White, II and wife, Jane; one daughter, Rhonda Richard and husband, Randall and five grandsons, Charlie and Lewis White, Carter, Barrett and Wyatt Richard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Kate White.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visiting hours will continue on Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of service.
The family would like to thank his caregiver, Eva Walker for the compassionate care given to Mr. White during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana or to the charity of your choice.
