The Life of Henry Andre Prejean
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:30 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Andre Prejean, 62, who died on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his residence in Arnaudville surrounded by his family.
Reverend F. Hampton Davis, III, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, will officiate the Memorial Mass. Lectors will be Caleb Williams and Michelle Trahan.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Louise Prejean; one son, Neil Prejean and his wife, Miranda; his mother, Bessie Dominique Prejean; two sisters, Kay Thibeaux and her husband, John and Linda Hargrave and her husband, Floyd; one brother, Ben Prejean; and three grandchildren, Avalyn, Lillian and Finnley Prejean.
He was preceded in death by, his father, James Harold Prejean, Sr.; and one brother, James Harold Prejean, Jr.
Andre Prejean was a native of Lafayette and resident of Arnaudville for most of his life. He worked as a supervisor in the oil and gas industry for many years. His favorite quote was, "I would rather be on my farm than emperor of the world", George Washington. Mr. Prejean was very creative with building and welding, and made his own tools often making more than one. He was well known for his honesty and integrity and always put everyone first, before himself. He also volunteered to help anyone in need. Mr. Prejean loved and cherished his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed.
Honorary pallbearers will be Neil Prejean, Roy Pickett, Douglas Williams, Caleb Williams, Ben Prejean, Jon Richard and John Williams.
