Lafayette - Mrs. Ruth Vizinat, native of Lake Charles and resident of Lafayette for 57 years, passed away on April 3, 2015 with family by her side. She was 78 years old. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 58 years, Roderick Vizinat; two daughters, Brenda Quesnel and her husband Mark, Carla Ortego and her husband Dennis; four grandchildren, Dustin Ortego and his wife Nicole. Brook Pleasant and her husband Beau, Jenna Quesnal, Angela Ortego and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Winnie Swearingen, and her brother Kent.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

We would like to give thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of Acadiana. Especially Renee Landry, (Iggy), who was her hospice nurse and Rose who was her health care assistant. She loved both of them dearly. Per her request, there will be no memorial service.
