The Life of Lillian DeBlanc

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Edmond''s Catholic Church for Lillian DeBlanc with entombment to follow at the Holy Mary Mother of God Mausoleum with Reverend Gary Schexnayder as the Celebrant.

A native of St. Martinville, and a resident of Lafayette, she was a member of Our Lady of Fatima and St. Edmond''s Catholic Church, a faithful supporter of the church ministries and attended mass daily, she enjoyed cooking weekly meals for her family and was loved by all who met her.

Mrs. Lillian was the daughter of the late Edmond Vincent and the former Marcelite Boutte and wife of the late Bertrand DeBlanc, Sr.

She is survived by six children Dolly Lemaire (husband Bob), Veronica DeBlanc, Melanie Pogue (husband Bill), Louise DeBlanc, Catherine D. Nickells, Michael DeBlanc; sister Lydia Hefner; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters; three children, Daniel DeBlanc, Denise D. Burris and Bertrand DeBlanc, Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 8:00 AM until 10:40 AM.
