The Life of Rita M Babineaux

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Rita M. Babineaux, 89 with burial to follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Jackson, Pastor of One Church.
Rita is the daughter of the late Emile Walker and the former Ida Racca. She was a CNA at Lady of the Oaks for more than 10 years, was in charge of the Daycare at St. Jules Catholic Church during Sunday Masses and was an in-home sitter. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who love to spend time with her children.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Benoit (companion David Laurie), Theresa Alleman (husband Darrell) and Jeanette Lavergne (husband Alphe); six grandchildren, Dustin and Jeremy Owers, Lauren Benoit, Chad Alleman, Brandy Alleman, Cory Lavergne, Jenifer Lavergne; nine great-grandchildren, RaeLynn Owers, , Brooklyn, Autumn, Peighton and Harlyn Benoit, Carter Valenti, Jude Alleman, Maddison Alleman, Priscilla Fay Freeman, Makenzie Lavergne; two sisters, Doris Williams and Bernice Walker.
She was preceded in death by her brother J. E. Walker, two daughters Vicky Babineaux and Priscilla Alleman; granddaughter Ashley Claire Babineaux, grandson Wayne Lee Alleman.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5:00PM to 10:00PM. Visiting hours will continue on Saturday from 8:00AM until the time of service.
