The Life of Doris T Constantine
Doris T. Constantine (Langlinais), 90, of Broussard, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2016 with family members by her side.
She was born October 23, 1925 in Broussard to the late Guillaume and Blanche Langlinais.
She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, La. and a 1943 graduate of Saint Cecilia High School.
Mom was happiest cooking for her loved ones and tending to her flowers and gardens. In the true French Acadian spirit, her door was always open to family and friends, and even better, just visiting on her porch and taking in the beauty around her and within her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Joseph Constantine, parents, brothers- Ned and Claude Langlinais and sister, Evelyn LeBlanc.
She is survived by her brother, Henry Langlinais of Broussard; her three sons, Kermit Constantine and his wife, Laura of Waterloo, IL, Craig Constantine and his wife, Beckie of Columbus, OH, Russell Constantine and his wife, Maureen of Youngsville, LA; her two daughters, Claudette Lockwood and her husband, Carleton of Redlands, CA, Julia Hutchinson and her husband, Randy of Lake Charles, LA.
Her cherished 13 grandchildren, Shelby (wife, Katie) and Seth Hutchinson, Jade, Chelsea, Kaitlin and Madison Constantine, Cameron (wife, Christina), Chauncey and Callie Lockwood, Travis, Ben and Sam Constantine, Bailie Constantine. Three great-grandsons Clifton Lockwood, Bobby Hutchinson and Kole Bourque, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family requests visitation at Delhomme Funeral Home in Broussard on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:30 pm with a French Rosary recited at 7:00 pm and Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 8:00 am to time of service.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on October 27th at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
