The Life of Lucille Sellers
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Lucille Landry Sellers, 89, who died on Monday, October 24, 2016.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Sellers Brinkman (Lloyd), William Sellers (Leslie), Donald Sellers (Laura), Kim Sellers, and Samuel Sellers (Angela); 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Madel Rees Landry; her son, Michael Sellers; her grandson, Jonathon Sellers; three brothers, Marcel Landry, Rees Landry, and Clarence Landry; and her sister, Helen Noel Comeaux.
Lucille was a native of Arnaudville (Bushville) and a Lafayette resident all of her life. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and was a loving mother and grandmother. After raising her family, she began a career with Landry''s Young Fashions where she enjoyed caring for customers in sales and also alterations. She was very active in Family and Friends (FFMH, as past president) and many other mental health organizations. Her joys were gardening, bowling, dancing, cooking, and caring for her family.
Pallbearers will be her sons and her son in law. Honorary Pallbearers will be David and Stephen Landry.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made in Lucille Seller''s name to the charity of one''s choice.
