The Life of Lula Sue Says

Graveside Services for Lula Says, 88, of Duson, Louisiana who passed away October 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, Louisiana will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Rev. Bill Ruskoski as Celebrant.

She was born on January 15, 1928 in Abbeville , Louisiana to Marcel Frederick and the former Aurelia Touchet. She was the wife of the late William Says, Sr. Lula was a telephone operator for over 30 years with Bell South Communications. She loved ice hockey and was a season ticket holder for the Louisiana Ice Gators. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren reading and was a devoted maternal figure.

Lula is survived by one son William "Bill" Says, Jr. and his wife Angela of Duson; grandson Ian Says and his wife Heather of Spring, Texas; one granddaughter Ashley Says of New Orleans; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Callie Crawford and Thelma Landry.

The family would like to express special thanks to Heart of Hospice and Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home, especially her dear friend Etha Amling.

Arrangements are under the direction of Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Dr., Lafayette, LA.
