Funeral Services for Jeanne’ Davis will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 25, 2016 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers. She passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2016.
Visitation will be held in Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, July 25 from 9:00AM until time of service.
Jeanne’ was born in Elbridge, TN in 1938 to Joseph and Virgie Sutton. She moved to Louisiana in 1961 with her late husband & the love of her life, William “Bill” Davis, where they raised their four children and lived for 52 years together in Lafayette, and later in Baton Rouge. Jeanne’ was the heart and soul of her family. It’s hard to find words to describe how much she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were the pride and joy of her life, and brought her so much happiness. Jeanne’ was kind, unselfish, funny, smart and she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Jeanne’ is survived by her children; Don Davis, Bart Davis, Dianne Breuer, and Greg Davis; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Kirby, Taylor, William, Carter, Michael, Marianna, and Julia; her great grandchildren, Eliza and Sutton and her siblings, Vernelle Sellers, Mac Sutton, and John Sutton.
Jeanne’ is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virgie Sutton; her siblings, Margaret Argo, Shirley Harrison, Damon Sutton, Ralph Sutton, and James Sutton and her husband, Bill Davis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
