The Life of Ronald James Sisk

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 1:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Ronald "James" Sisk, 75, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Michael Green, Minister at the South College Rd. Church of Christ in Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Janna Sisk; his three children, Lisa Sisk Alwert (A.J. Alwert), Ronald G. Sisk, and Brian K. Sisk (Zeny Sisk); his grandchildren, Marcelle Alwert Heisler, Kyle Alwert, Madison Alwert, James Riley, Shaila Canova, Kody Sisk, and Kourtney Sisk; his great-grandchildren, Hayden, Julien, Gabriel, Kensyn and Janson; his siblings, Mary Ann Wright and Johnny Sisk; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manerva E. Jane and Jessie W. Sisk; his sisters, Marie Threet, Opal Wolff, Coletta Conrad, and Sue Nell Roach; and his brothers, Albert Sisk, J.B. Sisk, and K.D. Sisk.

A resident of Patterson and Lafayette, Louisiana for most of his life, Ronald "James" Sisk was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and graduated from Wainwright High School. James took much pride in his work as a manager within the oil and gas industry. He cherished spending time with family and friends, especially during family reunions. He was the second youngest child of ten and loved sharing his stories of childhood and antics at work and home. James enjoyed coaching little league baseball, watching sports of all kinds, and playing Dominos, during which his favorite phrase was "No guts, no glory!" He was an avid gardener and also enjoyed outdoor cooking, whether it was boiling seafood or grilling on the barbecue. James had a wonderful, light-hearted sense of humor that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:30 AM until time of service.
