The Life of Sandra Dale Alexander
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for Sandra Alexander, 79, who died on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.
Inurnment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend William "Bill" Ruskoski of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate the memorial mass. Lectors will be Kathy Alexander Coldiron and Donna Buller LeBlanc. Giftbearers will be Monét Alexander, Ciciley Alexander, Mason Touchett and Ella-Grace Touchett.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Richard Eugene "Gene" Alexander; two daughters, Denise Loviglio and her husband, Jerry and Amanda Touchett and her husband, Jamie; one son, Todd Alexander and his wife, Mandy; nine grandchildren, Courtnie Meche Lanusse, Ty Meche, Mia Meche Blanchard, Monét Alexander, Ciciley Alexander, Mason Touchett, Ella-Grace Touchett, Dana Loviglio Hubbard and Kim Loviglio Kuhlman; and twelve great grandchildren, Tagg, Taytem and Amié Elle Lanusse, Brittan, Mya and Kyper Meche, Briege and Evii Blanchard, Harold and Elizabeth Hubbard, Jake and Cody Kuhlman.
She was preceded in death by her parents Garic and Inez Landreneau; and one brother, Ugee Landreneau.
Sandra Landreneau Alexander was a native of Ville Platte, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for over 40 years after having lived in multiple states and countries including Maracaibo, Venezuela. She worked in insurance for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Alexander loved quilting, dancing, decorating and playing bridge and "bourré". She traveled the world with her husband, Gene but she cherished her time at home with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Alexander will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana for their loving support during Sandra''s transitional time.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 1:00 PM until time of services.
