The Life of Annette Langlinais

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for Annette "Nettie" Langlinais, age 75, who died on Monday, June 13, 2016 in New Iberia, Louisiana.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Taj Glodd, Associate Pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Janae Theriot and Rachael Fedash. Giftbearers will be Madi, Max, Camille, Amelie and Cooper Langlinais. Francis LeBlanc, organist will sing for the services.

Survivors include two daughters, Lyndelle Theriot and her husband Greg of Abbeville and Lynette Fedash and her husband Robert of Carrollton, Texas; three sons, Brian Langlinais and his wife Natalie of Nashville, TN, Louis Langlinais, III of Lafayette and Patrick Langlinais and his wife Amy of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter Foret and his wife, Allison; Janae and Connor Theriot, Evan and Elliot Langlinais, Nicholas, Andrew, and Rachael Fedash, Madeline and Max Langlinais, and Camille, Amelie and Cooper Langlinais; two sisters, Florine "Todi" Howard and her husband Van and Enide "Netsy" Pisani and husband Ricky; four brothers, John Dorville Broussard Jr. and his wife Gloria, Edwin Broussard and his wife Louise, Don Broussard, and Armand Broussard and his wife Melissa, brother-in-law, George Timothy Langlinais and sister-in-law, Diane Langlinais and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis E. Langlinais, Jr.; her parents, John Dorville Broussard and the former, Florine Motty; a sister, Yvonne Broussard; grandparents, U.S. Senator Edwin S. Broussard and his wife, Marie Patout Broussard and Mr. and Mrs. Jules S. Motty.

Mrs. Langlinais was born on January 15, 1941 and was a native of New Iberia. She was a 1958 graduate of Mt. Carmel and a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. For the last 10 years, she has resided in New Iberia and enjoyed a full life with family and old friends. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as manager in Retail for The Knife Shop. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Langlinais, Louis Langlinais III, Patrick Langlinais, John Dorville Broussard, Jr., Edwin Broussard and Armand Broussard.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff and residents of Azalea Estates Assisted Living for their care and compassionate love. A special thanks to Dr. Milton Jolivette for his care, love, and friendship.
