The Life of Paul Cleveland Landry

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette for Paul "Cleve" Landry, 76, who passed away peacefully in his sleep, Friday, June 10, 2016 at his residence in Lafayette.

Visitation will be observed on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of services, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.

Father Richard Broussard will officiate.

Cleve was born September 17, 1939 in Abbeville, grew up in Intracoastal City and was a long-time resident of Lafayette. He graduated from Abbeville High School in 1958 and attended Spencer Business College, obtaining an Associate Degree. Cleve was the founder of Acadian Coffee Service Co. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Cleve was active in his community and belonged to the Ulster Project for nearly 20 years. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed people, entertaining and living life to the fullest. Cleve had an amazing zest for life; he was kind, generous, fun and very loving, especially to his family and grandchildren.

Cleve is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, one day short of their 56th wedding anniversary, Harriet Marie Menard Landry of Lafayette; two sons, Dwayne Landry of Lafayette and Chad Edward Landry and his wife, Nicole Breaux Landry of Maurice; one daughter, Paula Landry Schott and her husband, Philip of Youngsville; his brother, William Joseph "Billy" Landry of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Jaimie Schott Best, Shane Landry, Steffen Schott, Olivia Landry and Sarah Landry and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cleveland and Cecilia Marie Landry and his brother, John Raymond Landry.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Landry, Chad Landry, Philip Schott, Billy Landry, Shane Landry, Steffen Schott, Dwight Menard and Olan Menard.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Daniel Frey, Jolane Doucet, Marcie Walker and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for the compassionate care given to Cleve and his family.

Memorials may be made in Cleve’s name to Hospice of Acadiana, LOPA or St. Pius X Masses or Building Fund.
