The Life of Iris Cecilia LeBlanc

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Mrs. A. Claude LeBlanc, Sr., the former Iris Arceneaux, who died on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Brookdale Retirement Village in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Msgr. Keith J. DeRouen will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be David Meaux, II and Ashley LeBlanc LeMaster. Giftbearers will be Ryan LeBlanc, Aimee Meaux, Michelle LeBlanc and Jamie LeBlanc Clements. Karen Broussard, organist, will sing for the Funeral Mass "Pie Jesu", "Psalm 23", "Ave Maria", "Panis Angelicus" and "On Eagles'' Wings". Art LeBlanc will give the eulogy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Arthur C. LeBlanc, Jr. and his wife, Julie, Lynn LeBlanc Pelissier and her husband, Lyle, Faye LeBlanc Meaux and her husband, David, and Thomas J. LeBlanc and his wife, Jana; eight grandchildren, Lane Pelissier, David Meaux II and his wife Ana, Lance Pelissier, Ashley LeMaster and her husband Taylor, Aimee Meaux, Ryan LeBlanc and his wife Christine, Jamie Clements and her husband Andrew and Michelle LeBlanc; three great grandchildren, Casey David Meaux, Marie Claire Meaux and Jack Hilton LeMaster; and one sister, Goldie Kronenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979, Mr. A. Claude LeBlanc, Sr.; her parents, Benjamin and Maude Andrus Arceneaux; two sisters, Ruby Arceneaux Blum and Patsy Arceneaux; and two brothers, Eldridge Arceneaux and Lee Arceneaux.

Mrs. LeBlanc was a native of Grand Coteau and a resident of Lafayette for the majority of her life. She graduated from Sunset High School.

Pallbearers will be David Meaux II, Ryan LeBlanc, Andrew Clements, Taylor LeMaster, John Arton and Ben Blum.

A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.

The LeBlanc Family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Anna Broussard, Mary Comeaux, Shanedale Cormier, Virgis Antoine and Hospice of Acadiana, specifically Dr. Shirley Covington and JoAnn Harrington, and Brookdale Retirement Village for the love and care given to their mother.
