The Life of Clarence Joseph Andrus
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2016 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church - Maurice for Clarence Joseph Andrus, 89, who passed away on May 24, 2016.
Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor, will be Celebrant of the Mass.
Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.
Mr. Andrus, a resident of Maurice, was the son of the late Clarence Andrus and the former Paula Trahan. Clarence was a native of Maurice, LA. He was a graduate of Maurice High School and the Southwestern Louisiana Institute, Class of 1950. He worked as an engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad and loved spending time with family. Clarence loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Sue Andrus, Ronald Andrus and wife Lisa, Richard Andrus and wife Pam, Elizabeth Andrus and Robert Andrus; grandchildren, Victoria Zaunbrecher, Maci Andrus, Shelbie Andrus, Sydnie Andrus and Jason Friedman; sister, Margaret Lachaussee and husband Harold; brothers, Sheldon Andrus and wife Dolores and Sydney Andrus and wife Joanne.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gertie Vallot Andrus and daughter, Cindy Andrus.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home in Maurice on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Thursday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Andrus, Richard Andrus, Robert Andrus, Jason Friedman, Sheldon Andrus and Sidney Andrus.
