The Life of Aurlien Guillotte

A Mass of Christian Burial for Aurlien "A.J." Guillotte, 92, will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 12:00 PM in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand with Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Pastor of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist as Celebrant with Military Honors to follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A recitation of the rosary will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 PM with Brady LeBlanc.

A.J. was the son of the late Marcellus Guillotte and the former Lucille Marie Freyou. He was the husband of the late Sadie L. Guillotte.

A veteran of the United States Army and of WW II, he was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 69, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Forty & Eight. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time at his camp. He spent over 40 years in the Oil Field Industry as a Foreman.

He is survived by two daughters; Kathleen "Kathy" G. Crowley and Julaine G. Fox; son, Wayne Guillotte and daughter-in-law, Colette B. LaCombe; granddaughter; Julie K. Nash and her husband Kacey; one great-granddaughter, Emily K. Nash; and brother Walter Guyote.

He was preceded in death by sisters; Vernice G. Stansbury, Eunice G. Morvant, Lovinia G. Pitre, Genevieve G. Simoneaux; and brothers, Lawless Guillot, Millard "Big Joe" Guillot.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 9:00 AM until time of the funeral mass.

The family would like to thank Jan Ernst and A.J''s devoted caretakers, Odellia Harrison, Reva Broussard, Anitra Harrison and Alisio Levine.
