The Life of Lenora Benoit

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Lenora Becker Benoit, 88, who passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at her residence. Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton will be the Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lenora, a native of Carencro, LA and a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Gordon Becker and the former Marie Miller. She was also wife of the late Aaron L. Benoit. She worked at First National Bank for 23 years and retired from Gulf South Printing after almost 16 years of service.

She is survived by two nephews; Mike and Gordon Roger; special friends, Lance Adamson, Dale Primeaux and Tina Geautreau.

She was preceded in death by her son Aaron "Froggy" Benoit, sister; Mrs. Theo "Becky" Roger.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Jan Mayeaux, David Boutin, Danny Guidry, Steve Melancon, Lance Adamson and Dale Primeaux. Mike and Gordon Roger will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Thomas Voitier, the staff at AMG Park Place, Hospice of Acadiana and Mrs. Maggie, Mary and Tracy who cared for her in her final hours.
