LAFAYETTE ~ Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Elaine Lecoq, age 63, who passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Magnolia Estates Nursing Home in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette. Pastor Daniel Kelly of Harvest Center Church will officiate at the services.

Ms. LeCoq was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette where she was employed with the Daily Advertiser for twenty-five years.

Survivors include two sons, Kyle LeCoq and Derek Batiste both of Lafayette; two daughters, Katrina Fischer and Heather LeCoq both of Scott; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Kathy Richard of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest LeCoq, Sr. and the former Ruth Fritz; one brother, Ernest LeCoq, Jr.; one sister, Patsy Duhon; and one son-in-law, William Fischer.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
