The Life of Theresa Boudreaux
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Theresa Landry Boudreaux, 87, who died on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Lynzie Hoffpauir and Gale Franks. Giftbearers will be Alexandra and Colin Allemond, and Mallory Boudreaux. Eulogist will be Robert Boudreaux.
Survivors include her children, Robert Boudreaux and his wife Liz, Clyde Boudreaux, Lisa Boudreaux Folse, and Kevin Boudreaux and wife Judi; her grandchildren, Melissa Folse, Lynzie Hoffpauir and husband Ryan, Bo Boudreaux and wife Jordan, Brandy Boudreaux and husband Chad, Sherri Allemond, Lanie Miller and husband Chris, Jayme Miller and husband Brian, Mallory Boudreaux and Drake Boudreaux; 7 great grandchildren; and her sister, Rita Landry and husband Lenis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wagner Etienne Boudreaux; her parents, Alcide C. Landry and Louise Guidry Landry; her sister, Mary Ann Boudreaux; and 2 brothers, Elmo and Wallace Chaisson.
A native of Broussard and a Lafayette resident for most of her life, Mrs. Boudreaux was a graduate of St. Cecilia Catholic School in Broussard where she was chosen class queen. She lovingly raised her children and cared for her family in all ways, especially supporting them in all their school and sporting activities. Mrs. Boudreaux retired from Teurlings Catholic High School having worked in the school cafeteria many years, an institution all her children proudly graduated from. She was devoted to her faith and regularly attended Mass at St. Genevieve Catholic Church. She will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, always happy to see people and greeting them with a smile and hug, and never had an ill word toward anyone.
Pallbearers will be Bo Boudreaux, Drake Boudreaux, Chad Boudreaux, Chris Miller, Brian Miller, and Ryan Hoffpauir.
A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
