She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Deborah Guidry Nauck and Monique Guidry Gilomen; four grandchildren, Jonathan Nauck, Alexa Gilomen, Kyra Gilomen, and Nicholas Gilomen; and one sister, Grace Serio King.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerard Guidry; her parents, Santo Serio and Fannie Agnes Saia Serio; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Anne Nauck.

Mary Anne (Serio) Guidry was born in Eudora, Arkansas (a small town on the Mississippi river) on December 6, 1925, and grew up during the Great Depression. After graduation from high school, she attended Hôtel-Dieu School of Nursing, joined the Women’s Army Nursing Corp (received a scholarship that paid for her education), and graduated as a registered nurse in 1945.

She worked as a nurse in Greenville, Mississippi, and Crowley, Louisiana (where she met her husband of 58 years, Gerard Guidry). She worked for a few years after getting married, but later dedicated her time to her children as a full time mother. She had many friends, and enjoyed playing golf, bible study, and her beloved rosary group. She was a devout Catholic, who took every opportunity to instill her strong faith in her daughters and grandchildren, and anyone who would listen. Her life was long (90 years) and filled with great joy, but nothing meant more to her than the love of Christ and her family; her grandchildren were her greatest treasure. Her presence will be missed beyond measure.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Gilomen (son-in-law), Jonathan Nauck (grandson), Nicholas Gilomen (grandson), Jim Cochran (family member), Greg LeBlanc, and Greg Simpson (family friends).

A Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 10:00 AM until time of services.
