A true gift from our Lord Jesus Christ, our dad was a hero. He sacrificed years working overseas to provide for his family. He mingled with Heads of State, Diplomats, and was held captive for 31 days by Somali pirates. Always a story teller, he could hold your attention for hours. He cared for our mother and her mother completely dedicating himself to both of their lives. Dad never met a stranger, and all who met him never forgot him. He faithfully sent a daily text message to each of his children to wish a good start to our day. At 77, he had his own small Facebook following, posting "words of wisdom" humor, political advice or simply to endorse his favorite candidate. He has been longing to reunite with the love of his life, our mother Betty. We will live in peace knowing they have been reunited in heaven. Dad enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool, cooking, and playing cards
