The Life of James Hall Johnson
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at a 2:00 PM service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for James Hall Johnson, age 67, who died peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, surrounded by his family. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom he loved dearly.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pastor Todd Menard of Family Life Church will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include one brother, John Mercer Johnson, and his wife, Wyeanette, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Mercer Johnson and the former Marie Camille Durand.
Mr. Johnson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on October 13, 1948. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at LSU and later operated Hall’s Fried Chicken & Barbecue. Afterwards, he was employed as the Property Manager of the commercial buildings for CDJ, LLC for twenty years.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Johnson, David Johnson, Joel Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Mark Johnson and Tony Fontenot.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s DOWNTOWN location on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
