The Life of Isabelle Tribe

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Martin & Castille''s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Isabelle B. Tribe, age 86, the former Isabelle Barras, who died on Monday, February 25, 2013 at her residence in Lafayette.

Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Linda Tribe and Irene David. Lector will be Nicole Canova.

Survivors include her husband, Luke Eraste Tribe of Lafayette; two daughters, Janis Ann Tribe of Lafayette; and Sandra Canova and her husband, Sam of Lafayette; one grandchild, Chad Anthony Canova and his wife, Nicole of Lafayette; two great grandchildren, Callie Marie Canova and Ian Drew Canova.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene Louis Barras and the former Eunita Barras; one sister, Elaine Trahan Richard and a brother, Louis Rene Barras.

Mrs. Tribe was born on Saturday, April 17, 1926 in Rayne, Louisiana and was a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for 64 years. She was a loving wife of 66 years, devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Tribe was employed with Huval Bakery for thirty two years as a Bookkeeper.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
