Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at a 1:00 PM Memorial Mass in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Claire Christine Walley, age 26, who died on Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Duson.
Inurnment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, will conduct the memorial services.
Claire was born on January 21, 1989. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Cornay) and Robert Roddie and Danny Walley and Donna LeBlanc. Claire was a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School and UL where she received a BS in Psychology as an academic honor student and a Masters Degree in Experimental Psychology.
A beautiful smile, an inquisitive mind…always searching for life’s meaning. She explored the ways of the mind and was becoming an advocate for those who were facing difficult challenges.
Daughter, sister, friend, Claire was just starting her new life as a mother. A joy entered her life that amazed and fulfilled her and she looked forward to a life of wonder with her new baby son Wyatt.
She is survived by her son, Wyatt; her parents, Elizabeth Cornay Roddie, husband Robert; her father, Danny Walley, wife Donna; her sisters, Carolyn Walley, Lauren Garvey and husband Chris Garvey, Elise Hebert and her brothers Erik Roddie and Sean Walley; her nephew Jax, her godchild Camille and her niece Harper.
A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location
The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of services.
A fund has been set up for Claire''s son, Wyatt. Please mail contributions in care of "Wyatt Joseph Guidry Trust Fund" to 304 Claire Street Breaux Bridge, Louisiana 70517.
