The Life of Alfred Joseph Leblanc

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Alfred J. LeBlanc, 94, who died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette surrounded by his family.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Daniel Edwards, Pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

He leaves to cherish his memory, five daughters, Dianne LeBlanc Pride and her husband, Robert, Sarah LeBlanc Kidder, Maxine LeBlanc Yandle and her husband, Matson, Janice LeBlanc Copeland and her husband, Robert, and Elaine LeBlanc Quinn; one son, Edwin J. LeBlanc; his special friend, Mary Neveaux; ten grandchildren, Tod LeBlanc, Gabriel Kidder, Lisa Lindsey Griffith, Carolyn LeBlanc, Kathy Mire Lindgren, Shannon Kidder Credeur, Kendra Quinn, Patricia Quinn Edmonson, Neil Quinn, and Elizabeth Copeland; great grandchildren, Jordan LeBlanc, Calvin LeBlanc, Emily LeBlanc, Ian LeBlanc, Alicia LeBlanc, Hailey Lindsey, Alicia Lindsey, Paige Lindsey, Cara Barnett, Cameron Kidder, Darrion Kidder, Garrett Kidder, Austin Credeur, Jessica Credeur, Haley LeBlanc, Kassidy Calk, Brooklyn Knight, Gabriella Edmonson and Jodessah Edmonson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evans M. LeBlanc and Agnes Simoneaux LeBlanc; beloved wife, Mildred H. LeBlanc; one son, Donald LeBlanc; one son-in-law, Michael Kidder; four brothers; and one sister.

Alfred J. LeBlanc was a native of Abbeville, Louisiana and a resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He was a proud Veteran of Military service, having served in the United States Army as a Technical Sergeant during WWII. Mr. LeBlanc worked as a diesel mechanic for many years before his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing and traveling. Mr. LeBlanc was a long-time member of the Good Sam Club and was their head electrician for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Robert Pride, Robert Copeland, Matson Yandle, Edwin LeBlanc, Gabriel Kidder and Jason Credeur.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of services.
