The Life of Carleen LeBlanc
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Carleen Cates LeBlanc, age 78, who died on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Howard Blessing will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Camille Wintz and Lauren LeBlanc. Giftbearers will be Luke and Madeline LeBlanc. Jodi M. Bollich, organist, will sing for the Funeral Mass "Pie Jesu", "Psalm 23", "Ave Maria", "Panis Angelicus" and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman".
Carleen is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Phil LeBlanc and their four children, Lynda and her husband, Greg Wintz of Spokane, Washington, Carl and his wife, Donna, Randy, and Keith and his wife, Laurie, all three sons from Lafayette, LA; six grandchildren, Colin and Camille Wintz, Garrett and Lauren LeBlanc, and Luke and Madeline LeBlanc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Cecile Mayer Cates.
Carleen was a gentle and supportive lady who loved bridge, her bridge partners of over 50 years, and their Tuesdays together. For over 30 years, she attended University of Louisiana football games with her football friends. Friendships from her 1955 graduating class of Mount Carmel School continued throughout her life and provided Carleen comfort and support throughout her 16 years with leukemia. Her devout faith, wide circle of friends and her family nurtured Carleen''s joyful life.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 PM by Brady LeBlanc in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday, November 10th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday, November 11th from 9:00 AM until time of services.
Pallbearers will be Carl LeBlanc, Randy LeBlanc, Keith LeBlanc, Greg Wintz, Colin Wintz, Garrett LeBlanc, Luke LeBlanc, and Thomas LeBlanc.
Her family wishes to express their appreciation to Carleen''s devoted caregivers: Theresa Meche, Melissa Huval, Christy and Kimberly Davis.
